Dallas Baptist University was known as Decatur Baptist College until moving to Dallas in 1965, becoming Dallas Baptist College. It competed at the junior college level from 1908 to 1965. The school has competed as a four-year school since 1970, and became DBU in 1985. Baseball is the only Division I program at DBU. The school's other sports teams all compete in the Division II Lone Star Conference.
