Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Heefner has been a college coach. He is the brother-in-law of Ben Zobrist (they had been college teammates who married sisters).
He led NAIA in homers (22) and RBI (102) in 2000. He played for the Rockford Riverhawks in 2002, hitting .185/.239/.215 in 24 games, with 3 runs and 4 RBI. He was assistant coach at the University of Northern Iowa (2002-2003), Creighton University (2004) and Dallas Baptist University (2005-2007) before being promoted to head coach in '08. His record was 526-271 through 2021.
