Biographical Information[edit]

Billy Brewer led the majors in 1993 by allowing only 10.3% of inherited runners to score (4 out of 39). That same year, on June 15, he gave up Ken Griffey Jr.'s 100th big league home run. He was a Rule 5 pick for the Kansas City Royals that season out of the Montreal Expos organization, spending the whole year on the big league frontier. Brewer did much of his big league damage as a LOOGY in K.C. In 203 total appearances (144 with mighty K.C. from 1993 to 1995), he had a 4.79 ERA in 178 2/3 innings.
