Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Clint Davis pitched from 1991 to 2001, reaching Triple A four times. He was taken by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 49th round of the 1991 amateur draft.

Davis had a 2.22 ERA in 51 games for the Savannah Cardinals in 1992, but his breakout campaign was the next year -- in 57 appearances between the St. Petersburg Cardinals and Arkansas Travelers, he went 3-0 with a 1.94 ERA, striking out 81 and saving 20 games in 65 innings. He missed 1994, and returned to the Cardinals system briefly in 1995, posting a 12.27 ERA in four games for the Triple A Louisville Redbirds. He spent most of the year with the independent Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, posting a 2.70 ERA with 21 saves in 38 games. In the Texas Rangers system in 1996, he had a 2.21 ERA in 40 games. He remained in pro ball until 2001 and went 26-18 with a 3.02 ERA at all levels in his career.
