Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Austin Ross began his professional career in 2010.

He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 8th round of the 2010 amateur draft, ahead of outfielders Corey Dickerson and Kole Calhoun.

His ERAs have been up-and-down since his professional career began. He posted a 2.70 mark with 52 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings for the Helena Brewers in 2010 and in 2011, his ERA was 5.28 between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (6-3, 3.25 ERA) and Brevard County Manatees (4-4, 7.49 ERA) - though he still won 10 games and earned a spot on Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star team. In 2012, the hurler posted a 1.54 mark in three starts for the Manatees - though in 2013, his ERA jumped to 4.76 in 16 starts between the AZL Brewers and Wisconsin. For Brevard County and the Huntsville Stars in 2014, Ross was 9-8 with a 3.62 ERA in 117 innings of work.
