Biographical Information[edit]
OF Greg Deichmann played for Louisiana State University in the 2017 College World Series. He was a first team All-American for LSU that year and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the second round of the 2017 amateur draft with the 43rd overall pick.
On July 26, 2021, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs along with P Daniel Palencia in return for P Andrew Chafin. He made his major league debut with the Cubs on August 6th, going 1 for 5 as the starting right fielder in a 8-6 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
