Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman J.C. Holt was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 3rd round of the 2004 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Don Thomas for $380,000 and made his pro debut that summer with the Danville Braves, leading the team with a .321 average and 17 stolen bases. After hitting .268 with the Rome Braves the next season, he stole a team-leading 35 bases with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and put together a 20 game hitting streak in 2006. In 2007, he hit .312 and stole 20 bases with the Mississippi Braves and hit .292 in 13 games with the AAA Richmond Braves.
