Miami Dade College was known as Miami-Dade Community College until 2003.

The college has various campuses including Hialeah, Homestead, InterAmerican, Kendall, Medical Center, North, South, West, and Wolfson. The North, South, and Wolfson campuses all fielded teams into the 1990s, but budget cuts forced the school to go down to one team in 1998.
