Biographical Information

Outfielder Kenny Jackson was the son of a local player in St. Croix known as "Tight Shoes" Jackson. He was a third-round draft pick of the Kansas City Royals in 1986 and played three seasons in their farm system, reaching Double-A ball for 12 games in 1988.

Jackson signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers chain in 1989 and played with that organization through 1992, making it to Triple-A for 94 games that year. He had respectable power, with 80 minor-league homers (double digits in five straight seasons in the U.S.).

After playing four games at the Double-A level for Seattle in 1993, Jackson then spent the 1993 and 1994 seasons in Mexico. The first year, with Saltillo, was rather impressive -- Kenny went 23-69-.281 in 115 games. He also made Milwaukee's squad of replacement players in 1995.

He was a player-coach for the Virgin Islands in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
