Biographical Information[edit]
Juan Ranero has coached for two decades.
Ranero was an assistant coach at South Miami High School from 1985-1987, Alfred B. Maclay School from 1988-1989 and at Miami-Dade Community College-Kendall Campus in 1989. Also in 1989, he got his bachelor's degree from FSU. He then got his master's degree at Appalachian State, where he was an assistant for four years (1990-1993).
Juan became head coach at Rowan University from 1994-1998, going 112-74-1. He was briefly (1999) at Old Dominion University as a recruiting coordinator and pitching coach. He then moved on to Westminster Christian High School as head coach for two years (2000-2001). Going to Barry University, he was head coach for four years (2002-2005) and went 109-103-1.
Ranero returned to Rowan University for a second go-around. Through 2009, he was 329-238-3 as a head coach. After the 2014 season, Ranero was named head coach of Eckerd College for 2015. He was 37-55 in two seasons there then returned to lead Barry University again.
