Biographical Information[edit]
The Detroit Tigers drafted Carmelo Jaime in the 24th round of the 2008 amateur draft from Miami Dade College and he played in their minor league system from 2008-2010. Second base and shortstop were his primary positions, though he played occasional games elsewhere. Offensively, Jaime hit .221/.275.291 in his three minor league seasons while appearing in 118 games. In his final season he reached AA for one game.
Jaime joined the Tigers organization as a coach in late 2014 and stayed there several years before moving to the Washington Nationals organization in 2022.
