Biographical Information[edit]
The son of outfielder Ed Olivares, Omar Olivares was signed for the San Diego Padres by scout Abraham Martinez as a free agent in 1986.
Olivares became the first Seattle Mariners pitcher to record an RBI on August 28, 1997, off Pedro Astacio.
