Biographical Information[edit]
Third baseman Chris Alvarez was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 6th round of the January 1985 amateur draft. On February 13, 1986, Alvarez was traded with Ron Hassey, Matt Winters, and Eric Schmidt to the New York Yankees for Neil Allen, Glen Braxton, Scott Bradley, and cash.
