2013 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 2013 National Baseball Congress World Series was played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS during August 2013. A new format was introduced this year as the tournament was divided into two brackets - "First Week" and "Championship Week". The two best teams from the First Week bracket advance to the Championship Week. The tournament retained the double-elimination format. 30 teams from 11 different states took part.
The Seattle Studs of the Pacific International League won the title, going undefeated throughout the competition then beating the Wellington Heat of the Jayhawk League 5-1 in the final. It was the Studs first NBC championship, having lost the final on three previous occasions.
Seattle pitcher David Benson of Virginia Commonwealth University was named tournament MVP.
