1948 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1948 National Baseball Congress World Series was won for the second year running by Fort Wayne General Electric. They beat the Chatham Blanketeers in the final 2-1 to win all seven games at the Wichita, KS championships. Fort Wayne become the second team to win back-to-back NBC titles joining the Champlin Refiners who won two straight in 1940-'41.
Tournament MVP was Chatham third baseman Veo Story, a former Brooklyn Dodgers minor leaguer.
