1942 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1942 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the hometown Boeing Bombers. They became the first team from Kansas to win the championship as they beat the Waco Dons in the final 2-1. The Bombers went 7-1 in the tournament. Waco were runners up for a second straight time.
Boeing infielder Red Borom, a six year minor league veteran, was named MVP of the tournament.
