1955 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1955 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the hometown Boeing Bombers for the second year running as they defeated the Plymouth Oilers 9-3 in the championship game played in Wichita, KS. The Bombers are the third team to successfully defend their NBC crown.
Boeing shortstop Daryl Spencer was named the tournament MVP. The New York Giants infielder was doing his military service at the Boeing works in Wichita.
