2000 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 2000 National Baseball Congress World Series was an all-Jayhawk League affair as the Liberal BeeJays beat the Hays Larks 3-1 in the final. It was the 4th NBC championship for the BeeJays who went undefeated.
48 teams from 20 different states took part in the tournament, which returned to using wood bats. The NBC is played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS.
Liberal pitcher Cory Metzler of Texas Tech was named World Series MVP.
