1943 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1943 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the Camp Wheeler Spokes. The Georgia army base became the first military team to win the NBC championship as they beat the Enid Airs 5-3 in the final, played at Lawrence Stadium in Wichita, KS.
Tournament MVP was Fort Riley and St. Louis Browns infielder George Archie. His team finished in fourth place.
