1952 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1952 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the Fort Myer Colonials as they beat fellow servicemen the Fort Leonard Wood Hilltoppers 5-4 in the championship game. The Colonials went undefeated at the NBC as they became the first team from Virginia to win the tournament.
Colonials shortstop Danny O'Connell of the Pittsburgh Pirates was named MVP of the tournament. He was doing his military service at Fort Myer.
The National Baseball Congress World Series is played at Lawrence Stadium in Wichita, KS.
