Fort Myer Colonials
The Fort Myer Colonials were a baseball team of military personnel from Fort Myer military base in Virginia.
The Colonials are noted for winning the 1952 National Semipro Tournament beating fellow servicemen the Fort Leonard Wood Hilltoppers 5-4 in the final. Shortstop Danny O'Connell, formerly of the Pittsburgh Pirates, won the MVP award. The Colonials won all of their seven games in Wichita, KS.
