2019 National Baseball Congress World Series

From BR Bullpen

The 2019 National Baseball Congress World Series was played at Eck Stadium on the Wichita State University campus. This was due to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, the NBC's home since it began in 1935 being demolished and replaced by a new stadium.

26 teams from seven states took part in the tournament, the fewest ever. Once again the format was pool play and single-elimination brackets.

The Seattle Studs won their third championship beating the Cheney Diamond Dawgs in the final, 5-4. The Studs actually lost to Cheney in pool play by the same scoreline. Studs RF Henry Cheney, from the University of Portland was named tournament MVP.
