1950 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1950 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by Fort Wayne Capeharts. Fort Wayne, albeit under a new sponsor name, won the NBC championship for an unprecedented fourth time as they beat the Elk City Elks of Oklahoma 5-2 in the final. John Braden managed the team to those four championships.
Fort Wayne's Pat Scantlebury became the second consecutive negro league pitcher to be named tournament MVP after Bill Ricks last year (Satchel Paige had won in 1935).
