1954 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1954 National Baseball Congress World Series, the 20th tournament, was won by the Boeing Bombers. They easily beat the Springfield Generals of Missouri in the title game 24-5. It was the second NBC championship for the Wichita, KS team who were runners up the previous year.
Springfield had several of their players disqualified just before the final by the NBC when it was discovered three players were also playing for their military team in another competition at the same time.
Tournament MVP was Casa Grande Cotton Kings pitcher Don Lee of the University of Arizona. His team finished in fourth place.
