The 1983 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the Grand Rapids Sullivans. The Sullivans beat the Alaska Goldpanners 11-1 to win the championship for the third time. It was the Sullivans' first NBC triumph in 13 years, during that period the Goldpanners had won five times.
MVP of the tournament was Grand Rapids outfielder Curtis Morgan, a former Detroit Tigers minor leaguer.
