2002 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 2002 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by the Alaska Goldpanners for a record sixth time. The final was an all-Alaskan affair as the Goldpanners beat the defending champion Anchorage Glacier Pilots. It was the fourth time these two rivals had met in the NBC final, with the Goldpanners winning three of them.
Goldpanners shortstop Blake Gill of Louisiana State University was named MVP of the tournament.
41 teams from 17 different states took part in the World Series which was played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS.
