2005 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 2005 National Baseball Congress World Series was won by Prairie Gravel of the Chicago Suburban Baseball League. They defeated the Santa Barbara Foresters in the final. It was the third straight year the tournament was won by a team appearing in their first final.
Prairie Gravel shortstop Ryan Anetsberger of Illinois State University was named NBC World Series MVP.
42 teams from 17 different states took part in the tournament which was played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS.
