Team History[edit]

The Clarinda A's began play in 1959 as a town team. In 1973 they made the transition to Summer Collegiate Baseball. They were a founding member of the M.I.N.K. Baseball League in 1996. Merl Eberly coached the team for many years.

The A's won the National Baseball Congress World Series in 1981 as they beat the Liberal BeeJays, 8-7, in 11 innings. Third baseman Keith Mucha of Los Angeles Valley Junior College was named the tournament MVP.
