Biographical Information[edit]
Merl Eberly hit .281/.447/.364 for the Holdrege White Sox in 1957, his only season in pro ball. He fielded .976 as their primary catcher (40 games) and drew 33 walks in 43 games, scoring 39 times.
He later became coach of the Clarinda A's, which became a much-successful training ground for young players.
