1939 National Baseball Congress World Series
The 1939 National Baseball Congress World Series was the fifth edition of the national tournament. The Halliburton Cementers beat the Mount Pleasant Cubs in the title game 5-2 to go undefeated. It was Halliburton's second NBC championship.
Silverton Red Sox pitcher Roy Helser was named MVP. Helser played one season in the minor leagues for the Cincinnati Reds and would later be a star for several years in the Pacific Coast League. Silverton finished in third place.
