• December 22: Alex Cabrera breaks Bo Díaz's 34-year-old Venezuelan League home run record, with his 21st of the season. Cabrera already held the Japanese Pacific League home run mark.
• December 16: Brendan Kingman, Phil Alexander and Kaye Greenham are selected for the Baseball Australia Hall of Fame.
• December 13: Joey Votto wins the Tip O'Neill Award, given to the best player in Canada, for the fourth straight year.
• December 12: Patrick Schuster is taken with the first pick of the 2013 Rule V Draft.
• December 11: Eric Nadel wins the Ford Frick Award.
• December 10: 93-year-old Roger Angell is honored by the BBWAA as winner of the J.G. Taylor Spink Award, given annually to an outstanding baseball writer. Angell is the first winner who is not a member of the Association, having spent his life writing for a magazine and not a newspaper.
• December 9: Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa and Joe Torre are all unanimously voted into the Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee.
• December 7: Carlo Passarotto, Alessandro Cappuccini, Guido Pellacini and Giorgio Gandolfi are inducted into the Italian Baseball Hall of Fame.
• December 7: Bas de Jong is named the 2013 Hoofdklasse MVP, while Rob Cordemans wins his 8th Pitcher of the Year Award.
• November 26: Wladimir Balentien wins the 2013 Central League MVP, the first NPB MVP from a last-place team. Meanwhile, Masahiro Tanaka is the unanimous winner of the 2013 Pacific League Most Valuable Player Award.
• November 25: Alessandro Vaglio wins the Italian Baseball League MVP Award.
• November 25: Yasuhiro Ogawa is named the 2013 Central League Rookie of the Year while Takahiro Norimoto wins the 2013 Pacific League Rookie of the Year Award.
• November 21: Dámaso Blanco and Juan Vené are elected to the Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Venezolano by the Historical Committee. For the first time, the Contemporary Committee picks no one.
• November 20: The Canberra Cavalry win the 2013 Asia Series, the first Australian Baseball League team to win an Asia Series. Jack Murphy is named Series MVP.
• November 14: Andrew McCutchen and Miguel Cabrera are named the 2013 MVPs for the National League and American League, respectively.
• November 13: Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer are named the winners of the Cy Young Award in the National League and American League, respectively.

• November 1: The Samsung Lions win the 2013 Korean Series, becoming the first team to win three Korean Series in a row. Han-lee Park takes home the Korean Series MVP.
• October 30: The Boston Red Sox win the 2013 World Series. David Ortiz is named MVP.
• October 30: The Uni-President Lions win the 2013 Taiwan Series. Kuo-Ching Kao is named Taiwan Series MVP.
• October 28: Masahiro Tanaka wins the Sawamura Award for 2013, his second such award in three years.

• September 29: Henderson Alvarez of the Miami Marlins throws a 1-0 no-hitter against the Detroit Tigers on the last day of the 2013 season.
• September 22: T&A San Marino wins the 2013 Italian Series to become the third team to win three straight Italian Baseball League titles and the first since the 1960s. Jim Magrane is named Series MVP.
• September 21: DOOR Neptunus wins the 2013 Holland Series. Benjamin Dille wins his second Series MVP, having also won in 2009.
• September 20: Alex Rodriguez hits his 24th career grand slam, breaking a tie with Lou Gehrig for most all time.
• September 17: The Omaha Storm Chasers win the Triple-A National Championship; Chris Dwyer is the MVP.
• September 15: Wladimir Balentien breaks the all-time Nippon Pro Baseball record of 55 home runs in a season that was previously held by Sadaharu Oh, Tuffy Rhodes and Alex Cabrera.

• September 8: Baseball fails to win reinstatement to the Olympics, falling second to wrestling for inclusion in the 2020 Olympics program.

• August 29: The Tigres de Quintana Roo win their second Mexican League title in three years.
• August 25: Tokyo wins the 2013 Little League World Series, the 9th Little League World Series title for a Japanese team.
• August 21: Ichiro Suzuki collects the 4,000th base hit of his career between Japan (1,278) and the United States (2,722). He is the third player to reach the milestone at such a high level, after Ty Cobb and Pete Rose.
• August 18: Corendon Kinheim set a Hoofdklasse record with 20 1st-inning runs in a romp over the ADO Lakers.
• August 17: The Los Angeles Dodgers become only the third team since 1900 to go 42-8 over a 50-game stretch, following the 1941 New York Yankees and 1942 St. Louis Cardinals.
• August 5: Major League Baseball hands suspensions to 13 players because of their involvement in the Biogenesis Laboratories scandal; Alex Rodriguez, the most prominent among them, and the player handed the longest sentence, decides to appeal.
• August 2: Unipol Bologna wins the 2013 European Cup, their third European Cup title in four years. Juan Carlos Infante is the finals MVP.
• July 30: Andre Rienzo becomes the first major leaguer born and raised in Brazil.
• July 28: Three figures from baseball's early decades - player Deacon White, umpire Hank O'Day and owner Jacob Ruppert - are inducted in the Hall of Fame in the first ceremony without a living inductee since 1965.
• July 26: Tadahito Iguchi joins the meikyukai with his 2,000th hit.
• July 16: The American League shuts out the National League, 3-0, in the 2013 All-Star Game; Mariano Rivera is the game's MVP.
