Sydney Wallace Smith

Biographical Information[edit]

Sydney Smith was part of an Australian team that toured the US (25 games) and London (one game) in 1897, hitting .357 as a 1B-OF. He later was Treasurer of the South Australian Baseball League (1926-1931) and Chairman of that league from 1927-1933. In 2013, he was inducted into the Baseball Australia Hall of Fame.
