Giorgio Gandolfi

Giorgio Gandolfi has been a long-time sportswriter.
Gandolfi played baseball and soccer as a youth and got into one game in Serie A, going 0 for 1 for Parma in 1961 and not handling a chance in 3 innings in left field. He later wrote for the Gazzetta di Parma, Tuttosport, La Stampa (27 years there), Stampa Sera, Gazzetta del popolo and La Nazione and was editor of the magazine Sport Universitario for 16 years. He has written a dozen books about sports, including Noi del baseball and was co-author of l'Enciclopedia del Baseball. In 2013, he was inducted into the Italian Baseball Hall of Fame.
