Brazil , officially the Federative Republic of Brazil (Portuguese: República Federativa do Brasil), is the largest country in South America and in Latin America.

National Team[edit]

The Brazilian national team has played in two Intercontinental Cups, two Baseball World Cups (nearly upsetting Cuba in the 2003 Baseball World Cup) and the 2013 World Baseball Classic as well as several Pan American Games. They have won eight South American Championships through 2022.

On May 17, 2012, Yan Gomes became the first Brazilian to play in the major leagues. In July 2013, Andre Rienzo became the first major leaguer to have been raised in Brazil.
