He signed with Germany's Mannheim Tornados for 2022, going 1-5 with a 5.13 ERA and 51 K in 40 1/3 IP. He was 6th in the southern Bundesliga-1 in losses. [6] He pitched one game for Brazil when they won the 2022 South American Championship. Relieving Marcelo Arai with a 7-4 lead, he closed out their win over Ecuador. He struck out Josue Rosario, got Gustavo Landin to pop up, hit Samuel Felman and retired Danyells García. The only other pitcher to save a game in the event was Diego Echeverría. [7]
