1957 South American Championship
The 1957 South American Championship was the first South American Championship. Held in São Paulo, São Paulo on October 27 and October 28, 1957, it featured only three nations. Brazil beat Argentina 3-0 and Peru 12-4 to claim the title, while Peru topped Argentina 5-2 for the Silver Medal.
