Biographical Information[edit]
Daniel Chibana was 0 for 2 with a walk for the Brazilian national team in the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier. [1] He hit .200/.294/.333 with four runs in six games when Brazil won the 2022 South American Championship, with four putouts, one assist and no errors as their main center fielder. He tied for 9th in the event in runs. [2]
He saw limited action in the 2023 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. In their opener, he pinch-ran for Fernando Luciano and scored on a wild pitch. In the finale, he started at DH but went 0 for 2 against Nicaragua's Osman Gutiérrez then exited for pinch-hitter Victor Mascai. [3]
