Biographical Information[edit]
Sulivan Ribeiro has pitched in the minors and for the Brazilian national team.
He was 0-2 with a 9.55 ERA in the 2018 U-15 Baseball World Cup, losing to Taiwan and Panama but was 1 for 2 with two walks, three runs and a RBI in his one game in center field. [1] He signed with the Oakland A's but struggled in his pro debut with the 2021 DSL Athletics (12 R, 9 ER, 16 BB in 6 1/3 IP, 0-2). He improved to 1-1, 3.52 with the same team a year later, walking 22 in 30 2/3 IP. He was the youngest pitcher on Brazil's staff in the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. The teenager made one appearance, relieving Edilson Batista with a 4-0 deficit in the 8th against Panama. He struck out both batters he faced, L.J. Jones and Jose Ramos, then gave way to Douglas Takano. [2]
