2022 CPBL All-Star Game
The 2022 CPBL All-Star Games were held July 30 and July 31, 2022. The theme of this year was the Chinese Taipei national team of the 2023 World Baseball Classic versus the CPBL All-Star team.
Game 1[edit]
The first game took place July 30 at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium with an attendance of 15,888. The CPBL's leadoff batter Sheng-Wei Wang hit a triple and scored thanks to Tzu-Hao Chen's sacrifice fly to get the lead. They added another two runs in the 3rd inning. The rally began when Yu-Chieh Kao hit a leadoff single . Chih-Wei Hu retired the next two batters, but he then allowed a pair of doubles to Chen and Ngayaw Ake, and they extended their lead to 3 runs. The CPBL had another good chance in the 6th inning when Tzu-Hao Lin, Namoh Iyang and Tung-Hua Yueh collected singles in 3 straight at-bats, but Kuan-Yu Chen fanned Su-Yi Lin and Pei-Feng Dai to escape the jam.
On the other hand, the Chinese Taipei team was silent in the first 5 innings as they only had one hit. Ching-Kai Lin finally broke through in the 6th with a leadoff double, and Kun-Yu Chiang hit a RBI single. Both sides didn't have many chances after that until the 9th inning. The Chinese Taipei team's Chi-Hung Hsu hit a leadoff single, and Yu-Hsien Chu added a double. Shao-Hung Chiang was struck out by Bradin Hagens, who then walked Tzu-Hao Lin. Chinese Taipei needed a single to tie the game when the bases were loaded, but Tien-Hsin Kuo struck out and Hagens saved it.

Game 2[edit]
In front of 11,600 fans at Taichung, the CPBL swept their opponent. This game was closer, and the CPBL scored first again with Ngayaw Ake's RBI single after Tzu-Hao Lin's double. That was his 20th hit in All-Star Game, and he set the CPBL record. The Chinese Taipei tied it soon; Chun-Hsiu Chen collected an infield single in the 2nd inning, and An-Ko Lin added a single. Kun-Yu Chiang walked, and Shao-hung Chiang's grounder drove in the game-tying run. The Chinese Taipei team had two infield singles in the 3rd inning, but Drew Gagnon struck out the next two batters to escape the jam.
The CPBL had a good chance in the 4th inning. Ngayaw Ake's single started things off, then Tao-Jung Tseng hit a single. Chun-Lin Kuo retired Namoh Iyang and struck out Tung-Hua Yueh but walked Su-Yi Lin to load the bases. He then forced catcher Yu-Chieh Kao to fly out to end this inning. The Chinese Taipei finally broke through in the 7th inning. Shao-Hung Chiang and Wei-Chen Wang hit back-to-back singles to start this inning. Chieh-Hsien Chen grounded into a double play, but Chin Cheng still gave his team the lead with a timely single. The CPBL roared back soon when Tzu-Hao Lin collected a double in the 8th inning, then Namoh Iyang blasted a game-winning, 2-run homer against Yun-Wen Chen; he won the MVP. Yen-Ching Lu closed the door, and the CPBL took the series.
