Biographical Information[edit]

Tzu-Hao Lin has played in the CPBL and for the Taiwanese national team.

Lin represented Taiwan in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, when he hit .355/.474/.452 and helped Taiwan win the Gold. He played a little infield but mostly DH, losing All-Star honors there to Tyler Soderstrom. [1] The Uni-President Lions drafted in the first round of the 2020 CPBL draft. Lin became the Lions' starting third baseman due to Fu-Lin Kuo's struggles, and he hit .256/.332/.315 with a homer and 7 steals in his rookie year. [2] He broke the CPBL record for the youngest player to got a walk-off hit on May 15 (later broken by Cheng-Jui Sung).[3] The New Taipei native extended his solid performance, when he hit .282/.312/.372 with 4 homers in 2022, and attended the 2022 CPBL All-Star Game. He was 2-for-4 with 2 doubles, and also won the home run derby championship. Lin was also selected into the All-Star Game again the next season and he was 1-for-4. He ended up hitting .263/.360/.348 in 2023.

The New Taipei native made Taiwan's roster for the 2022 Asian Games (which were held in 2023 after delays). He debuted against Thailand, going 0-for-2 with 2 walks. He then went 2-for-4 with a 2-run single against Woo-suk Go of South Korea, and he was 2-for-2 with 3 RBI against Hong Kong. Lin had a 0-for-1 record with 3 walks in the next game. In the Gold Medal Game, Lin was 0-for-3 and Taiwan lost to South Korea to won Silver. [4]
