Biographical Information[edit]

Min-Hsun Chang has caught for the Taiwanese national team.

Chang was with Taiwan when they won the 2010 Asian Youth Championship. He was in the 2015 U-21 World Championship. In the 2015 Universiade, he was 4 for 8 with a double, walk, run and two RBI as one of three catchers for the victorious Taiwan team. He was Taiwan's primary catcher when they finished second in the 2015 Asian Championship, going 7 for 14 with two walks, two runs and six RBI. He tied Yu-Ning Tsao, Yu-Cheng Chang and Tzu-Wei Lin for second on the team in RBI, two behind Chih-Chieh Su. He tied Su for third in hits, one behind Tsao and Lin. He then played for the Chinese Taipei National Training Team in the Asian Winter League.

The Lamigo Monkeys selected Chang in the first round of the 2016 CPBL Draft, and he spent his first six seasons primarily in the CPBL minor league; he only played 48 games combined with the big club. He was selected into the 2017 CPBL All-Star Game as the top catcher prospect, but he was 0-for-1. Chang hit .205/.263/.260 in 28 games in 2021. Since Chien-Fu Liao was injured, Chang was named the starting catcher of the Monkeys in 2022, and he hit .210/.244/.234 with 5 doubles. He attended the 2022 CPBL All-Star Game, but he was 0-for-1 again. Chang was 0-for-1 in the 2022 Taiwan Series (regular-season DH Hung-Yu Lin caught in the Series), and the Monkeys were swept by the CTBC Brothers. He hit .170/.218/.202 and shared the starting catcher spot with Chia-Hsiang Sung and Hung-Chun Yen in 2023.
