1997 CPBL All-Star Game

The 1997 CPBL All-Star Game was held June 29, 1997. The Wei Chuan Dragons, Mercuries Tigers and Uni-President Lions formed the CPBL Red Team, while the Brother Elephants, Chinatrust Whales, China Times Eagles and the Sinon Bulls made up the CPBL White Team.

The game took place at Taipei Municipal Baseball Stadium with an attendance of 6,805. Kuang-Huei Wang blasted a game-winning solo shot in the 4th inning against Chun-Liang Wu, and he won the MVP. Winning pitcher Hsien-Chang Chen completed 2 shutout innings, and Cipriano Ventura saved it while he struck out four in 2 shutout innings. Kun-Han Lin crushed a homer in the first at-bat of this game, but the Red team couldn't score another run and they lost.
