1991 CPBL All-Star Game

The 1991 CPBL All-Star Games were held July 5, July 6 and July 7, 1991. The Mercuries Tigers and Uni-President Lions formed the CPBL White Team, while the Brother Elephants and Wei Chuan Dragons made up the CPBL Red Team.

Game 1[edit]

The Game 1 took place at Kaohsiung Li De Baseball Stadium with an attendance of 9,000. Pinch-hitter Luis Iglesias drove in 2 runs with a double, and Miguel Roman collected 3 hits for the White team. Shi-Hsing Lo and Chu-Ming Lee both homered, but the Red team couldn't score another run and lost the game.

Game 2[edit]

The Game 2 took place at Taichung Baseball Field with an attendance of 5,621. Chun-Ta Wu hit the only extra-base hit for the Red team - a RBI triple in the 7th inning. Longo Garcia pitched 3 shutout inning to get the win, and Wen-Cheng Lin closed the door while fanning 4 in 3 innings.

Game 3[edit]

The Game 3 took place at Taipei Municipal Baseball Stadium with an attendance of 8,736. Miguel Roman crushed a 2-run homer against Wen-Cheng Lin in the 4th inning, and Al Pardo also added a 2-run shot in the same inning. Enrique Burgos struck out 4 in 1 2/3 innings but he allowed 3 runs, and Chang-Heng Hsieh relieved him. Hsieh recorded 3 1/3 shutout innings with a strikeout, and he was the winning pitcher.
