Biographical Information[edit]

Ming-Kun Ho was a 2-time All-Star in the CPBL.

Ho represented Taiwan in the 1987 World Port Tournament and 1989 World Port Tournament. The Mercuries Tigers signed him when they were founded, and Ho hit .289/.345/.398 in his rookie year. He was 1-for-6 in the 1990 Taiwan Series, and the Tigers were beaten by the Wei Chuan Dragons in 6 games. Ho was selected into the 1991 CPBL All-Star Games, and he was 3-for-8. He slumped to .199/.238/.250 in 1991, then Ho bounced back and hit .243/.301/.348 with a league-leading 3 triples in 1992. He also attended the 1992 CPBL All-Star Games, and he was 2-for-7 with 3 runs scored and a double. The Tigers then traded him to the Jungo Bears for Chang-Yang Chen.

The Hualien native recorded a .270/.291/.410 batting line in 1993, but he only had 68 at-bats with a .250/.274/.368 batting line in 1994. Ho played 14 games for the Bears before being released in 1995, and he went back to the Tigers. He hit .185/.241/.259 for them in 1996, and he was released again. The Brother Elephants then picked him up, but he was soon let go after having a 0-for-7 record. Ho then joined the Dragons, and he became the first player in the CPBL history to play for 4 teams. He hit .259/.317/.362 for the Dragons, then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Ho hit .238/.283/.333 with 205 hits, 34 doubles and 10 homers in 8 seasons in the CPBL.
