Biographical Information[edit]
Chien-Wen Su became an umpire in the Chinese Professional Baseball League when it was founded in 1990, and he worked until 2003. He was the second base umpire in the first game of the CPBL. On October 10, 1992, Chou was hit by Chi-Chen Tseng's foul tip and his clavicle fractured. Thus, he became the first home plate umpire to be replaced in the middle of a game in CPBL history. His brother is former CPBL infielder Cheng-Hsiung Chou.
