Biographical Information[edit]
Cheng-Hsiung Chou played in the CPBL for 5 years. His brother is former CPBL umpire Chun-Sheng Chou.
Chou represented Taiwan in the 1995 Universiade. The Chinatrust Whales drafted him in the second round of the 2000 CPBL Draft, and he was 2-for-21 in his rookie year. He hit .194/.245/.279 in 2001, then his batting line improved to .286/.296/.351 in 2002. However, Chou slumped to .200/.259/.240 in 31 games in 2003, and he announced his retirement. He later played and managed for the New Taipei City amateur team.
Overall, Chou had hit .214/.256/.286 with 54 hits in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
