Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Strong, a 37-year-old rookie with the Florida Marlins in 2000, pitched in the minor leagues until age 41. He won the first Taiwan Series game ever, 10 years before his MLB debut, beating the Mercuries Tigers in the opener of the 1990 Taiwan Series. He also won Game 4 to finish 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA but didn't win Taiwan Series MVP, which went to Cheng-Chin Hong.
