Biographical Information[edit]

Yung-Hsing Tung played in the CPBL for 4 years.

Tung was drafted by the Brother Elephants in the first round of the 1994 CPBL Draft, and he hit .164/.250/.230 in his rookie year. He had a .205/.264/.265 batting line in 1997, and he got the starting catcher spot in 1997 after I-Chung Hung jumped to the TML. Tung hit .221/.279/.259 in 85 games, and he was also selected into the 1997 CPBL All-Star Game; he was 0-for-1. When Jui Cheng Chen shined in 1998, Tung lost his starting spot and he only played 32 games with a .268/.342/.324 batting line. He announced his retirement after the 1998 season.

Overall, Tung hit .217/.281/.265 with 120 hits and 24 doubles in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
