Biographical Information[edit]
Hua-Wen Chi has been an umpire in the Taiwan Major League (1997-2002) and Chinese Professional Baseball League (2004- ). He has worked the 2006 Asia Series, 2008 Taiwan Series, 2008 Asia Series, 2009 Taiwan Series, 2012 Taiwan Series, 2015 Premier 12 (he covered home plate in the Gold Medal game), 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, 2019 Premier 12 and 2020 Olympics (covering home in the Gold Medal Game). In 2022, he became the 6th umpire to work 2,000 CPBL games.
