The major league 1977 Rule V Draft was held December 5 in Honolulu, HI. 8 players were drafted by major league teams at a cost of $25,000 each. 9 players were selected in the AAA portion for $12,000 each and 7 players were drafted in the AA portion for $4,000 each.
